Our partner car rental companies in Malta have a very easy and convenient fuel policy since they all work on a prepaid system. This method is now the worldwide standard for all the major car hire companies since it avoids complications, re-fuelling charges and disputes at the end of the rental.

Most of our partners will deliver the cars with half a tank of fuel whilst others will deliver with a full tank or a quarter tank.

Clients will be required to pay the car hire company for any fuel supplied with the car on collection at the start of the rental.

At the end of the rental the car will then have to be left as empty as possible. 

No refunds are given at the end of the rental for any unused fuel.

The price charged for petrol by our recommended car hire companies varies between €1.20 and €1.39 per litre. On most cars half a tank of petrol would normally be between 18 and 24 litres so please anticipate a cost of €24 - €30 for the 1/2 tank of fuel. (PS: This cost will be greater on larger cars and vans having larger fuel tanks).
